Ministry servants have certain requirements that reflect the standards that the leadership of the church feels led of the Lord to project. Some may consider these to be unusual or restrictive, but the Scripture tells us that Christ saved us to be "a peculiar people, zealous of good works" (Titus 2:14).
These standards are not requirements for church membership. They are also not necessarily the "guidebook" for what a Christian must maintain to be right with God. They are, however, guidelines for those who desire to be ministry servants at Crossroads Baptist Church. The goal is to project a conservative lifestyle that is, at first glance, clearly different from the world. "Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord ?" (II Corinthians 6:17).
Serving the Lord may be a sacrifice, but it's worth it all. What a joy it is to be able to sacrifice in small part for the One Who gave His all for us! If you feel led of the Lord to serve in a ministry, please speak to a staff member or ministry director about general and specific requirements concerning lifestyle, church attendance, dress code, financial giving and outreach.
